GSF Mortgage Corporation is an American mortgage lender.
==Company history==
GSF Mortgage Corporation was founded in 1995 by a group of principals that had worked together since the 1970s in the financial industry, though they had exited the lending industry in the 1980s. The company was formed to provide solutions for mortgage companies and support for FHA, FNMA, FLMC, USDA, and Veteran Affairs mortgage products.〔 The company was founded in Brookfield, Wisconsin by a team that included company owner and CEO Jim Guzanick,〔 and GSF's founding President Phil Siebert. After a few years, GSF management and consultants became used as sources for the media outlets for stories about current events in the mortgage industry. By 2002 GSF employed over 350 people with 19 offices, expanding to locations in Minnesota, Illinois and Maryland, creating more than 1500 mortgages per year.
In 2001〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Where We Started )〕 the company transitioned to a full-service direct residential mortgage lender.〔 The transition changed the company from an $11 million broker-based company to a full mortgage bank with revenues of $70 million. In 2011 GSF was named one of the "Largest Milwaukee-Area Mortgage Banking Companies" by ''Milwaukee Business Journal'', and was the third highest volume of loans made in dollar value by the end of 2012. GSF uses social media and other technology to advise first time home buyers on the details of mortgages and differences between various mortgage products.〔 In 2013 Chad Jampedro was named President of GSF as Phil Siebert retired. Part of the reason for his selection was Jampedro's guiding GSF through the housing crisis of the late 2000s, where many similar companies went out of business. He had also represented GSF in the media.
